JDC Networking, operated by JDC Networking, is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this website and our networking activities is used.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, business name, email address, telephone number, membership or attendance details, correspondence, event enquiries and information submitted through our referral, one-to-one, testimonial, introduction, shout-out and contact forms.
Please only submit another person’s contact details where you have their permission. Referral contact details are available to authorised organisers and are not displayed in the public slip pot.
How and why we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, manage memberships and fortnightly meetings, administer referrals, moderate public slips, maintain appropriate records, protect the website and communicate about JDC Networking.
Our lawful bases may include performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving the group, consent for optional sharing or marketing, and compliance with legal obligations.
Public slips and sharing
When submitting a networking slip, you can choose whether it may appear in the public group pot and separately whether JDC may share it elsewhere. Private slips are restricted to authorised organisers. You may withdraw optional sharing consent by contacting us, although we cannot always retrieve material already lawfully shared by others.
Sharing and retention
We may use trusted hosting, email, website, payment or administration providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect legitimate rights.
Enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months, networking slips for up to 36 months, and membership or financial records for as long as reasonably required, including applicable legal and accounting periods. Information is then deleted or anonymised securely.
Your rights
